Executive management team

Michael J. Vogelzang, CFA

President & Chief Investment Officer

As President and Chief Investment Officer, Mike oversees Boston Advisors investment activities and business practices. At the helm of Boston Advisors since 1997, Mike is responsible for directing the equity investment management process for individual as well as institutional clients.

Prior to Boston Advisors, Mike was Senior Vice President at Freedom Capital Management. In addition to serving as Chair of its Investment Policy Committee, he managed private accounts for high net worth clients and was co-portfolio manager of a large institutional growth portfolio. Previously, Mike worked for Shawmut Bank where he was responsible for investment management relationships with clients throughout New England. He began his career in the early 1980s in the investment management and trust departments at the Boston Company.

Mike earned a B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from Calvin College and attended Boston University's Graduate School of Management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the Boston Security Analyst Society. He is frequently sought out by the Boston and national media for his investment and market insights.

Tanya A. Kerrigan, Esq.

General Counsel & Compliance Officer

Tanya holds the dual role of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Boston Advisors.

Prior to joining Boston Advisors, Tanya was a Compliance Officer with H.C. Wainwright & Co., Inc.

Tanya earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University at Albany and a Juris Doctorate from the New England School of Law in Boston. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and is admitted to the practice of law in Massachusetts.

Richard Shea, CPA

Treasurer

As Vice President and Treasurer, Rick is directly responsible for accounting and internal budgeting matters for Boston Advisors.

Prior to joining Boston Advisors, Rick was Head of North American Finance at Baring Asset Management, where he was responsible for all internal and external financial reporting, including the creation of annual audited financial statements.

Rick earned a B.A. degree in Accounting from Providence College, and is currently enrolled in the M.B.A. program at Boston College.
