Dr. Bufferd

Dr. Bufferd recently retired as treasurer of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where he oversaw MIT's investment management of assets, formulation and implementation of investment policy for endowment, retirement fund and other assets, which totaled more than $12 billion. He currently serves as chairman, board of directors, of the Controlled Risk Insurance Company and the Risk Management Foundation, Inc., and chairman, board of directors, of The Coop, a retail cooperative serving the Harvard and MIT communities. Dr. Bufferd is also a member of various advisory boards of diverse investment funds, and serves as a director of several financial services organizations, healthcare centers, and universities. Dr. Bufferd holds a Sc.D. from MIT and a J.D. from Suffolk University.

Ms. Nicozisin

Ms. Nicozisin is the founder of Blue Morph Consulting, a firm specializing in facilitating organizational change and transformation for corporate and not-for-profit clients. Prior to forming Blue Morph, she was the director of client service and marketing at PanAgora Asset Management in Boston, and a member of the firm's Management Committee. She began her career at The Boston Company in relationship management working with Fortune 500 institutional clients. Ms. Nicozisin has a B. A. in History from Northwestern University and has completed coursework at The Wharton School in investment management. She has also completed extensive training in facilitation and organizational development. Ms. Nicozisin is a Board member of the SPARKLERS Foundation, a program that brings life coaching tools and skills to teenagers.

Mr. Halpern

Philip Halpern has been engaged as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of large institutional portfolios for over twenty years  -- including for the endowments of The University of Chicago and Caltech, and The Washington State Investment Board.   Currently, as CIO of Tellus Asset Management, Mr. Halpern manages a portfolio of Commodity Trading Advisors and Hedge Funds specializing in natural resources.   In addition to Boston Advisors, Mr. Halpern participates independently on the Dow Jones Hedge Fund Index Committee and on the boards of Duet India Hotels, M Funds (Chairman), RREEF America REIT II, and SunTx Capital Partners.  He also serves on the executive management committee of the Chapin Hall board at The University of Chicago.  Mr. Halpern holds an M.B.A. in Finance from UCLA and an A.B. in Anthropology from Grinnell College, and completed doctoral coursework in Strategic Planning at Northwestern University.

Mr. Aborn

Mr. Aborn is the retired vice chairman of John Hancock Life Insurance Company, where he served as chief investment officer, overseeing all aspects of the life insurance company's broad investment portfolio. Currently, he is the chairman of the Finance Committee of Kairos Partners, an investment company focused on public and private investment in the medical technology arena. Mr. Aborn also serves on the Board of Directors of the Controlled Risk Insurance Company and the Risk Management Foundation, Inc., the Investment Committee of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and as director of cMarket, an online auction platform for fundraising for nonprofit causes. Mr. Aborn holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business.
